The fate of Amon Zhad?

I heard rumors from some people that Amon Zhad is completely destroyed, turned into a volcanic wasteland by Xualla's rage. Then there are others saying that some settlements of Amon Zhad remain standing. Can someone who knows the actual outcome of my homeland, inform me of it's state?

I was unable to make it to Travance last moon. I was on my way to Travance through an uncommon route, but a horde of undead were blocking the route. I had to take refuge at a nearby encampment and stayed there for weeks until the undead were taken care of. I am still curious to find out the fate of my homeland.
