Now, now, "S." There is no reason to utter cruelties.
Your poetical prowess is nothing short of amazing, but have you not heard that imitation is the highest form of flattery?
Remember to be kind.

I can't see why you would need a ceremony to prove a transition into manhood based upon your age. You were, or still are, a guardsman. You've fought and bled for the provence and the people you care about. You know how to use your sword and shield and you are willing to use them for those whom look up to you. I think you became a man long before your coming of age, serah. Part of me thinks that you're just looking for an excuse to party. And I like it. I should think of a couple reasons to party.

Well since this question has come up and I just want to answer this question no before it goes further.
The reason why I am bringing up the ceremony is because it is a tradition where I am from to perform this ceremony at the coming age. Plus why complain about a chance to get free food and drink?

No complaints here, Serah. I simply just saw you as a man before your announcement of this ceremony. I support your idea in continuing the tradition set by your people.

Celebrations are to celebrate, even if it's just that the sky is blue or that we're alive and breathing. You know?
I do wish I could make it for more than a few minutes, Dominic. If you change your mind and host it Sunday, maybe more can come?

Swyft,
Instead of imitating one's betters, why not develop your own voice?
Flattery serves no purpose, save to hone the ego to a point sharp enough to impale yourself on your own hubris.
