July Chronicle - Dependence - Due July 18th

Hello, Subjects of Travance!

After our short break to reorganize, the Chronicle is back with a new theme and a new editor-in-chief. As Amizar’s research has taken him out of the Proper, and will continue to do so for several more months, I’ll be taking over, with Lorelei Sihnon as our new full-time editor. Please send any submissions to me, or they risk being lost in the pile of mail awaiting Amizar’s return ((OOG: PM, FB, or email to me at c.stanley48@gmail.com)).

Without further ado, our theme for the month is Dependence.

There are several kinds of dependence, but they all mean the same thing: needing someone or something to keep going. Perhaps this is an object of value to you, such as your weapon or the tools you use for your work. Perhaps it is a person, without whom you’d be lost. No man is an island, and we all place our trust in something outside ourselves at some point - and have that trust placed in us in turn. For this theme, we’re encouraging you to think about who and what you depend on. Do you depend on them too much without acknowledging them? Or, perhaps, you close yourself off and try never to depend on anyone, and this is holding you back. And what of the people who depend on you - how do you deal with that, especially if you’ve failed in the past, or find yourself with so much on your shoulders that you’re not sure how to keep going?

We also, as usual, welcome off-theme submissions of news, artwork, and essays on other topics. Pay is 10G a submission, and the Barony considers it service to the common good ((OOG: 400SP + build for consistent contributors)). The deadline is Saturday, July 18th at midnight. The Chronicle depends on you, Travance!
