To Whom It Applies

Out in the night time,
We’ll sing of stories,
Stories that nobody knows,
We will speak fire,
It will burn brighter, then any words anyone’s spoke.

Out in the pasture,
We will run faster,
Screaming things that no one can hear,
We will grow louder,
Louder and louder; until we are no longer here.

Out in the meadow,
We will walk heal toe,
Keeping pace with our peers,
We will sing sad songs,
Happy and Mad ones, of stories that aren’t from here.
