Winter Dark Deliverance

It is maybe known that Duke Balliol had acted with violence and recklessness in an attempt to gain power.
The items in the Winter Dark Library could be used for ill intended things.
I believe that securing the items that have been secured may benefit the people of Arawyn
as securing those items may have increased the probability of them not being used
in a violent or inappropriate way.

I just want to make sure I'm understanding correctly.


You took these items, from probably the most secure location possible. You then moved these items AND have publically announced doing so.

This should provide years of entertainment attempting to put an priceless collection back together that will be scattered to the 4 winds before anyone realizes.

There are perhaps thousands of soldiers located directly north of Winter Dark.
Although Winter Dark may be very secure it is perhaps near the border lines of Duke Balliol's
forces. Geographically speaking Palindor may be much more distant from such border lines.
The decision the Count had made to grant Chet and myself permission to secure items
could be perceived as precautionary and just

When I may have said you should trust your leadership I was referring to the decision that both
Count Sebastian and Lord Tartaros had made that allowed Chet and myself to secure items from Winter Dark.
We wouldn't have acted without their approval.

As they their approval led to our actions.

If you wish to debate the validity of their decisions perhaps you can do so,
respectfully, with them.

I was beginning to think you had enough wisdom to not get wrapped up in this grade of farce,

Last I checked Winterdark was one of the most secured structures in Arawyn, wherein this priceless collection was under the singular control of the Count of Winterdark. Aleander is a political melting pot. I do not look forward to seeing those tomes in some contentious nobleman's study or in the hands of a farflung future enemy.

One should not make moves just to make them. We are facing foes on all fronts. We do not have time for pointless sophistry.

Speaking as an authority on legal matters; this was your idea. His lordship and his grace enabled you to make this move in good faith, but it ultimately was your decision. Live by it, and do not hide behind our nobles, who in their good graces, have enabled their subjects to weigh in at the war table. It behooves you to leave no doubt that it was your initiative and not a nobleman's edict that these tasks were carried out. Also, it is unwise to publicly post when precious goods are being transported, no matter how much acclaim you believe it will get you.

Granting permission to a request may reflect acceptance and agreement with the intention and cause relative what had been proposed.

The actions taken by Chet and myself should perhaps be perceived as just, successful, and with good intention.

If Count Sebastian and Lord Aleister disagreed with my plan then they would have rejected it, but they didn’t.

Although it was perhaps my plan, originally, to secure the supposed items, I had no intention of doing so without the proper and righteouss authority.

You should respect that our leadership made a decision to accept the plan. Maybe they know more pretaining the safety of the items and the scurement of both Alieander and Palindor.
