Let is be known

The actions of one using the name of Duke Edgar Balliol,
the falsely and unlawfully self-proclaimed emperor of Kormyre
has brought upon himself the ire of the Gods of Light by:

…proclaiming the heretical group known as the Blazing Sun*
to be the religious authority of the land
and giving authoritative support to the heretical false-Pontiff,
Michael Halligan,* as leader of said group
*[pronouncement of heresy issued regarding Michael Halligan and Blazing Sun,
given the 7th day of February in the year 1219
by the High Pontiff Artreus and the College of Cardinals.]

…attacking the Sanctus Luminarium
and endangering the lives of both clergy and commoner
working peacefully for the good of the true Church of Valos;

…besieging the Sanctus Luminarium
and the High Pontiff and his defensive forces;

…allowing a known true warlock, one Enzarond Melentres,
host to a Zar’Ilmask symbiote by the name of Val’Ixtal Vai,
a member of the Zar’llmask Council,
to control those who are subject to his rule
and inhibit, diminish, or eliminate said subjects’ free will;

…the many murders of good and faithful people,
such as Ser Tristram de Liones, among others;

…the unlawful detention of nobles,
such as the Lord of Hauxwell among others,
and propping imposters in their stead.

…waging unjust war upon the Kingdom and the Church of Kormyre,
and thus bringing the harsh sufferings of war unnecessarily upon the people.

Let is be known

As Primus of Travance,
having due ordinary and immediate power
as prelate within the Church of Kormyre,

do so declare a Holy Crusade against
the one using the name of Duke Edgar Balliol,
his Chancellor Enzarond Melentres,
his false pontiff Michael Halligan,
and all those forces who willingly serve said imposters, true warlocks, and heretics.
