Sighting Report

Coming here to report this on the request of my commanding officer.

My unit engaged with what looked like a mobile tree. It was freakishly strong and somehow managed to take control of a couple members of my unit. It moved slowly, but it was incredibly powerful. It managed to kill three members of my unit and seemed to start, I don't know, feeding, on their bodies. Exercise caution when walking the pathways. These thing can be considered VERY dangerous.

And we're sure they're not Corpse Trees or Lanius? Either way... Attack trees are intriguing. I'll keep my eyes out for them. Thank you for the information and I'm sorry for the loss of your men.

They sound like corpse trees to me. Just curious how they would have made it all the way to Albriar. I will check in with Ser Wren to see if he knows anything of this.

Judging from the scattered reports here in the tavern, the word sent to my office in the Crossroads, and what my own detail has personally dealt with this evening, no, these are not Lanius.

What I will do is echo my fellow Sergeant's word of caution. It is strongly encouraged that Travancians walk in groups of no fewer than four during the nighttime hours of this Feast. Your Baronial Guard does not have the manpower to chase after anyone who feels that they will be fine walking alone. If you wish to disregard our concerns and wishes, we will respect your decision, but the amount of disappearances is already high enough.
