Awards for January, 2010

  • Baron Montgomery

January seems to be the month of many wonders... A new year and new surprises. Kyle always does a great job role-playing, but this time he showed us his leadership side when he played the Baron like a true noble. He seemed to be in conference with quite a few groups as if he was trying to catch up with a lot of what was neglected for some time. He also made it a point to activate current residents into his court and assemble his Lords and Knights. Thanks for doing such a great job and keep up the good work! We’d also like give a nod to a few of the newer players that have made a lasting impression: Linneth, the high elf healer, Toravisu, & Nutmeg. Great job from all of you!

  • Galmachian Priestess

A fine example to all NPCs came from a new player this month (We think her name is Gabby?). She played a Galmachian priestess during the healer’s mod. She was calling very appropriate things out to her god and actually acting as if she was praying for a great miracle. Too often, NPCs will put their weapons over their heads and walk away when defeated, but this girl stayed completely in character, screaming in anguish and dropping after being staked. Glad to have you as part of our team! It’s also hard to forget a short but very memorable and creepy performance by Andy B. as the Jester.

  • Jackie M.

Jackie’s stubborn dedication to her fellow man, once again, gets her this award for January. She gets up each event, at all hours to help those in need from medical conditions or who may have fallen or become injured. She really goes over and above, travelling half way across the camp to attend to sometimes virtual strangers, for no other reason than that she cares enough to do so. We love you Jackie! An extra thanks to Chris Arnold & Tom S. for helping out this event for a variety of reasons and the crew that helped build all the bunks.

  • The Celt Tent

January was absolutely freezing. Along with the snow and winds, you would think people would cram into the warmest rooms they could find…but you would be wrong. We’d like to award the crazy Celts that pitched a tent, decorated it to look completely in-game and then slept in it! You guys are nuts, but we’re glad you are. Team hard-core gets the win for January!

Cleric: "Okay, who has the other dagger - the really nice one?"

      *stares back and forth*

Cleric: "Do you have the dagger?"

      Thief: "No."

Cleric: "Let me rephrase that. Do you have the dagger?"

      Thief: "Yes..."
