Spending Service Points was created by Gallion (Gallion)
There is a new system of spending Service Points that replaces the old list. The thought was that the old SP spending chart was failing in effectiveness becuase it was not being used for anything other than acquiring ritual components. We feel that this new system has allot more to offer the players, and hope that it gives players something of use to spend their hard earned SP on.
It has been updated on the appropriate page of the KR website.
Here is a link to get you there faster: www.knightrealms.com/index.php?option=co...view&id=57&Itemid=54
Special thanks to Matt V. who came up with the core of the change, and to the rest of the officers who worked really hard over the last few weeks to fine tune it!

This is actually a really awesome change. Thanks guys.
A couple questions:
1) "You may not purchase multiples of any individual Fate." Does this mean more than one purchase per weekend, or ever?
2) Fate of Greater Supply -- What constitutes "special materials"? Mithril? Fire drake scale?
3) Fate of Fortune -- What constitutes "simple magic items/trinkets"? Could we get examples? Or is this a "try it and find out" type of thing?
4) Fate of Endurance -- I'm confused by the definition of this. What is meant by "x BP ratio"? Does that mean it grants you 3/6 (based on SP spent) times your total body points?
Overall, I think this is a really cool way of handling SP. Well done guys.

the 'learn new skill' fate - does that include lower list spells for the various spellcasting classes? (mage, bard, druid, cleric, priest)

1) Per weekend
2) Thats a working description that we'll update soon.
3) You'd get a random item with one or two uses of a skill that must be used within 3-6 months depending on the power. You could roll anything from a critical attack trinket to a dodge trinket.
4) The fate of Endurance allows you to get what ever you purchase 3 or 6, times your highest class BP ratio. So if you are a mage and spend 1000 sp, you get 6 body. If you are a Warrior you'd get 18 body. If you are a Scholar and an Acrobat, you'd get the highest ratio which is 2, and get 12 body.
Diane's question
5) Yes

One more note, as people come with questions (or break the system) there will be obvious changes to this listing. What you see now is far from set in stone so don't get attached to anything specifically, but as a whole this list represents what we'd like to accomplish with the new system.

A few questions:
For
The spell "Blur" doesn't have the latent tag. Does that mean it is immediately cast upon you, or is it assumed that the instance of that spell is "Latent".
For:
Is that with all weapons/fighting styles you can use? If you fight florentine, is it +1 with both weapons? What about spells? If one were to throw a pie at a sleeping paladin, would it do +1 damage?
For
Fate of Lesser Protection: 1 of the following Defensive Spell Buffs: Stoneskin, Barkskin, Fluid Motion, Divine Negation, Elemental Shield, Displacement, Mind Shield, Inviolate Form, Blur, Deep Pockets, Protect Item. Automatically recast at the beginning of each period.
Cost: 500 SP

Matt,
Its only for the event you purchase.
Wallykins,
Not sure on blur, I think we were all under the usumption that it was invokable.
Its +1 damage to all weapons you can wield on any hand you can use those weapons, so if you had thrown weapon and that pie was boffer it would indeed do +1.

Re: Blur, I think that was an oversight. All protections are intended to follow their normal rules. So perhaps we should just remove that one.

For Fate of Guidance
Learn one skill without a teacher. (This is the only Fate that can be purchased anytime during the weekend. Lower List only, cannot open new lists. We reserve the right to deny any lore or lit skill.)
Cost: 500 SP per Build cost of skill
to use this fate one must also have the necessary pre-requisite skills and enough unspent build to purchase the skill correct?

Correct. This does not change any of the other rules of learning the skill, only the need for the teacher.

Fate of Lesser Supply does not mention Ceremonial components, while Fate of Lesser Supply does. Was this intended?
Fate of Lesser Supply: 20 Generic Components (Alchemy or Sorcery), or 100 Units of Basic Materials (1 Full Item Card).
Cost: 500 SP
Fate of Greater Supply: 5 Units of Alloy, Enigmatic, or Arcane Materials or 2 Rare Sorcery or Ceremony Componants
Cost: 2500

I would say thats an oversight.
The rules for the fates are written in bold at the top of the page, the only exception is that you can use guidance at the end of an event so you can pick up a skill you couldn't get previously.
