The Concentration Trait has been revised as follows:

Concentration: The effect requires the user to concentrate, either to activate it or to maintain it. While concentrating, a character may not use any other ability (except latent defenses or defense skills), or move from their position. Any effect with the concentration trait can be maintained for a maximum of thirty minutes for each instance of the ability/spell used.

The Sacrement prayer "Divine Sphere of Protection" has been revised as follows:

Divine Sphere of Protection
6 FP; Traits: Divine (Sacrament), Caster, Area of Effect, Concentration
This prayer creates an impenetrable sphere around the caster and anyone within arms reach. Only sound and air can penetrate this sphere. Any effect that is delivered by sound or air (i.e., a bard song or poison gas) will bypass the sphere. The sphere appears instantly in place and molds around all inanimate objects that have a greater length or width than the sphere’s radius, leaving them outside the sphere. To maintain the sphere, the caster must stand motionless, head down, chanting the prayer words of her deity, while holding both arms extended from her side, palms out. Any interruption in the chanting, unless during an official hold in game-play, will cause the sphere to dispel.

If surprised in one of the bunk beds (or any bed for that matter), must the caster struggle to get out/up/down before commencing the prayer?

So yes, you would have to get out of bed.

Yes, to maintain it.  But to initiate it?  In other words, can one initiate the prayer, and while chanting, stand up and assume the position mentioned?

You can start your verbals, but if you aren't in the right position when you finish the prayer, it will end immediately.

So does this mean concentration effects are able to be dispelled? Pretty sure they weren't before but the new description doesn't say so.
