So many things, I couldn't take them all in...
* Getting to bring in the new hammer and shield, at long last! (I got them shortly after the last event, so they've been sitting at home for too long, unused...)
* Rob Gambino's little visit as an NPC to the forge. "Interesting" times were had by all.
* Market Faire, while I was only there briefly, was nice.
* ALL THE NEW PLAYERS. Jeebus, we were packed! And it was good to see everyone having so much fun!
One lowlight: Heat Exhaustion / Stomach Bug. Despite drinking a ton of water, I still managed to overheat. To make things worse, I got a very sick stomach during the day on Sat., and wound up passing out OOG after feast for about 12 hours.

Awesome event! Good outweighed the bad for me!
Friday:
-NPCing a troll and getting merked.
-NPCing a Drow Torturer and actually dressing in full costume and make up to stand in the dark for 1.5 hours lol
-Showering after that was AMAZING! (luv ya dearly derrick but dear god is that make up a pain to get off!)
-Bringing a Celt friend into game from my backstory (Thanks Chris!)
-Being the First to respond to the theft from Zahir, Amira and Malyc and trying to track and getting nothing.
-Hearing how Shamus' daughter was at the queen's side and swearing a blood oath to him not to harm her even if it meant bleeding out every last drop in my own body.
-Watching Kwildar go nuts and then being there to comfort him with Magnus and Shamus, having a deep heartfelt conversation about how he's not a failure and love A++ roleplay with everyone!
-Going to sleep as my IG husband got back from paper work lol
Saturday
-Ugh it took me 40 minutes to get my stupid purple contacts in! I never thought playing a gypsy would involve so much prep time!
-Going out and trying to find someone to teach me strength +1 without actually carrying a giant log around OOG because it was just too darn hot for that! Thank god for Gideon and his awesome lectures of awesome!
-Sitting on the front porch while someone brought a demon up and freaking out once i found out it was a demon of Glomm!
-Going back and changing into Pracika again and coming out to Cal honor combating one of the queens rebels and completely merking him... silly Celts!
-Running up to the forge to talk to Zahir about the theft and finding a Drow hair and taking it to Barak to have it scryed.
-Watching the Rick Shaw topple over with Sleafus and Malyc lolz
-Feast! yummy LOVED the entertainment!
-Hearing Ilana say she'll never marry and then telling her "I'm sure there's a nice ...um... wild mage guy out there for you too, to love you for who really are.... just don't get too excited on the wedding night... if ya know what i mean."
-Kwildar: The Zealot of love! He strikes moisture into the loins of women! nuff said
-Awesome role play with Laughing Bear and Shaman! You guys were awesome! You too Blokus ever tho you said like 8 words to me.
-Trying to get Laghing Bears axe fixed and then being jumped by queens rebels on the way back. Losing a limb and clawing my way across the ground was fun lol.
-Finding a bandit, have a ranger grasp it with roots, have him try to waylay me, deflecting it and getting ticked off at someone who tried assaulting a guards member and ripping them out of the roots and dragging their unconscious bleeding body to jail! This was met with many huzzahs and "wow what a woman!" remarks
-Watching the Brogan express before main mod! and watching Brogan get hit in the chest with a sword Erdrick threw lol
-Main mod was awesome! 11 Posi Ftw and thanks the gods (literally) for mass! A++ for everyone who spoke
- a refreshing meeting of me and a metal caravan with a trapped ice elemental to make myself feel better!
-coming back from that metal caravan to find a horde of obnoxious goblins and the "Shiny Turtle Man"... i was horrified and so completely and utterly confused and didn't know whether to laugh or say heck i'm going to bed... i chose the latter.
Sunday!
-sleeping all through the night and being awoken by story tellers about how they walked into the wrong tent felt sick and then walked back to their own lolz we just kept sleeping!
-Learning a bunch of Druidic/Ranger stuff from Elawyn. It was my first time really Rping with her and it was great! Especially having 2 barbarians and a celt learn elemental shield while janus threw fire at us... lol fire magic and barbarins
-mod of AWESOME! wally you are crazy silly Dark druid's. 8 fire FTW
All in all i had a blast. Lots of new faces. Getting an earring knocked out by an NPC face shot stunk and the weather was blah! But will definitely do again!

-Captain Flay! Its always great RPing with Shawn.

Excellent and most awesome Event:
Hanging out with the Mcgregors telling stories and jokes.
Telling all the Valosians to stop being in a fire elemental cult and just become mages.
AWESOME RP with The Sylvan Archer about deforestation (sorry I forgot your name >.<) As well as Feng Shui talks with Ming teeming with logical reasoning. And Father Edwin teaching me to research.
And overall continuosly denying being foppish, yet using much fan-waving and complaining about lack of boutiques or massueses in the lands!
Last but not least: All the teaching I did for the less learned folks bringing them up to at least a better standard of living. Emar: Enjoy your imaginary boxes, ghosts, and axes.

Overall, an amazing event though it could have been better without all the humidity. O_o;
Highlights:
- Meeting about a thousand new and returning khitans (and the asguards think they breed like rabbits!).
- Seeing alot of different wares at Market Fair.
- Finishing and finally bringing my own set of ronin armor, and the helm I started months ago.
- Two words: Turtle Magnus.
- Having a whole battalion of people being told by Turtle Magnus to run from an army of creatures that sounded like ghouls. Turned out to be goblins....
- ...which were then led into the kitchen by Magnus to eat and chant "La-zag-na."
- Getting molested (even waylayed) by the goblin army because they thought I was a pig in my helm. Then slipping away while they were distracted when I told them that the last one standing could have 10 shineys.
- NPCing shouting and screaming celts of the highland queen, wild mages, and merchants.
- Uncle Ming's Tea tent and his dry ice-cold brews. A savior in all this heat.
- Witnessing a good RP at the forge with Bartimus, Sleafus, and Lord Corrado.
Lowlights:
- All the usual discomforts of being in tents in the middle of august.
- The amount of medical holds that were called during main-mod.
- High tensions caused by the weather.

Good points...
1. Got to see friends that I haven't seen in a long while.
2. Learned about the Witch Hunter Hunters.
3. Had fun on a rousing demon mod.
4. Gave plenty of ammunition to the people who know me to now use against me.
5. Got a chance to test out my new archery rig.
6. Seeing my donation put to good use and the $$$ going to a great cause.
Bad points...
1. HEAT... again, my reasoning not to LARP during the Summer has been re-affirmed.
2. Not learning what I wanted to learn and instead now have to wait till October (or later) to learn it.
3. Too damn hot...
4. Being late after dinner, and forcing Tom S. to miss out on some of the night to drive me to the train station.
5. Did I mention the heat and humidity?
See you all in the cool Fall or Winter.

*Brazen's Hall (trade hall) getting robbed and Zahir offering 70 gold to the capture of the culprits
*Smoking hooka in the hookah lounge with all the citizens of Hookatopia
*Come up with a marketing scheme for selling pickles and tea with Portia and Ming-Na... oohhh, the free pickle samples are too spicy? Why don't you try Ming-Na's teas here to cool you off?
*Hanging out with Rosette and attempting to bark for her drinks
*Hanging out with people while NPCing. There were a lot of new players that I enjoyed hanging out with.
*Belly dancing... of course getting robbed and closing down the hookah lounge put a damper on things.
*Acrobat training with Atrus.... ahhh, shoulder and thumbs dislocated....
*Swimming for the win! Thank you jackie for life guarding!

It's been a very long time since I posted something on the recaps.
-Being asked to play as Euriel.
-Having the library mod and trying to defend my books while Erdrick talked his way out as well as Alister.
-Hanging out with the npcs and seeing some good friends
-Helping with feast, although it was alot of work it all worked out in the end. It was delicious by the way.
-Market faire was decent, it was good to see some people managing well.
-Fighting in the last battle
-Having someone finding my cellphone :)
Besides that the only lowlight was the Galamacian mosquitos wage war on me lol.
Hopefully I'll be back down the road, take care everyone.

As one of "those Dag people", KR was a huge change for me. I had an amazing time and I can't wait to go back.
Best:
-Meeting everyone on Friday. And finally meeting Ana.
-Playing cards with Ib on Friday night, then having someone mistake my belt flag for a purse and try to pickpocket it. Oops.
-"Are you a Gypsy?"
"No, gobbo."
"...but you jingle!"
-The attacks on the inn in the wee small hours of the morning. I honestly wasn't expecting those, but when I wasn't trying to sleep, they were ridiculously fun.
-The feral goblins and people asking me to act as an ambassador of sorts. Not so much luck on the first night.
-Three words. Shiny Turtle Man. And all that came of it. I couldn't stop cracking up when I passed out the bowls to the goblins and they marched out of the inn behind Magnus, wearing them as helmets.
-The attack on the inns on Saturday night. I got knocked into negatives twice, but there's nothing like a screaming horde of whatever the hell those were to get your adrenaline going.
-Learning chess, the laws of Travance, Teach, and Advanced Literacy from Father Edwin.
-The Feast. Especially the Celts' song for Lord Pyre. The half that I can still remember is stuck in my head.
-Hanging out with the Celts on Saturday after the main battle.
Worst:
-The bugs in the inn.
-The heat and humidity. Ick.
-I ended up losing the phys rep of the electrum dagger Ana gave me, as well as my character sheet. Distressing.

"Ok we can attack... but if we miss, we'll hit the villagers."
"I'm willing to take that chance!"
Things I am no longer allowed to do in an RPG :
31. The backup trap handler is not whoever has the most HP at the time.
73. Not allowed to name my cudgel Ceremonial Whoopass Stick.
74. My thief's battle cry is not "Run And Live"

Highlights:
Lowlights (or better yet, lesser-lights)
- Helping the smiths armor up the town, and making some decent starter coin
- Meeting more players, both vets to KR and new
- Getting a welcome reception from the Pedarvin household
- Seeing some real care for the game by staff people
- The Feast! Great entertainment, was surprised at how good the food was (seen some pretty poor feasts in my day) and I give much respect to those who work that part of the event, especially in the heat. /salute.
- Learning more about the world/town history and the pc's in game
- All the new players, its great to join a game that even after many years in existance is still drawing new blood
- The very welcoming atmosphere of many players to someone new to KR. I was amazed at how many people came up to me, engaged me in conversation and even knew my name
- Realizing that the next two events are back to back....woohoo
Lowlights (or better yet, lesser-lights)
- Wearing a ton of armor in 95 degree heat and humidity. Talk about self loathing lol.
- Getting wife-aggro Sat morn and not getting back to the game till 1pm
- Spending so much time smithing and rp'ing that I lost track of what was going on during the event (not a real lowlight, but its a trade-off)
- A few very poor attitudes. Unoftunately one or two bad apples can really overshadow all the other positives.
- Not getting a chance to go swimming (but hey, no one needs to see me shirtless anyway)
- While I had a blast npc'ing the main mod Sat eve, at the same time, I really wished I could have been pc'ing that shift. Looked like a great battle to be on the other side of too :)

Getting such a great level of respect from new players. It makes my weekend guys.
Paladins proving they can be pretty good at cards
Watching the majesty and the horror that is a Slack McDermitt interrogation.
A feast with two kinds of meat
Alex being the most demanding prisoner ever
Teamking up with my old buddy Clint for many fights and being his meat shield quite often. Horsemen 4-life!
Team Montgomery chasing down the dark elves way into the wee hours of Sunday.
Yelling to the town to stay in battle lines and seeing them do it.
Real food for fake money. Mmmmm good.

Thank you Jackie and Matt M respectively for lifeguarding and feast.
A massive thanks to all the new players! I was very impressed/inspired and entertained by many of you and I hope you will return. The population of KR has always been good, but the more the merrier. Bumping into people in the middle of nowhere is where I have most of my fun.
Hats off.
Barbarian party next event for my Bday. Be there.

Great time. This heat stunk hard.
Friday:
The Grimdar holy symbol
Reaffermation of chaos with Billiam
Portal to the Library and saying "Undead. Why Undead" Fifteen times.
Bugging Tari
QUICK CHEK?! When the hell did this happen?
Finally learning some spells
Saturday:
Showering then getting Paul and bagels.
Thanks for everyone who went on my underpowered mod. The sheer number of people really changed the difficulty of combat, but not the puzzle itself. (Thanks Eric for helping me set up!)
Getting on Odo and thinking "I better drink water now."
Drinking plenty of water.
Khitan Town!
Feast was phenominal!
Odo and Ardentfyre. One of the few times I get to show off Odo's thoughts. Thanks for listening!
Steve and Blockus walking up on me in the bathroom, and seeing them in the mirror. I would have closed the door, but that room becomes an oven before I let the handle go.
Gatorade run turning into sleeping in my car.
Sunday:
I grabbed an arrow, mid flight. Nuff said!
Lowlights:
The sound the a-shirts made as they came off my body was akin to fruit rollup being peeled off, and velcro.

Just so we get this out of the way, yeah. It was hot as [insert comparison here] this weekend. With that done, let's get to the Highlights! ;D
Friday Night!
-just to start, making it to KR without being killed by NJ. Thanks to all the people who put up with my shenanigans on the phone and helped me get to the site :-[
-seeing all my friends again and meeting new members of both my khitan and dragoon families. Yay new people!
-going outside to battle celts but being careful because hitting the wrong celt would be quite a disappointment (see later note...)
-NPC-ing as a goblin: It felt so good to just sit back and let my inner annoying child come out of me. Thanks to Matt for helping to spark that inner fire. And btw, "Gobo go away!" Thanks Hammish
-and of course, being hugged to death by Sheamus while playing a ghoul...never been killed like that before
And apparently I'm the new Tyros? ;D
Saturday!
-got to meet a lot of the town guard, which is pretty impressive getting to know what's going on behind the scenes in Travance
Demon Mod:
Ok, so if you weren't around for this, a witch hunter NPC comes into the inn around market faire time and is gathering people to help him hunt down and destroy a demon that is ruining farmgrounds in Kaladonia(?) by salting them through geisers exploding from the ground. He says "I need anybody of medium experience to please help me out." Now a lot of us would consider ourself "pretty well versed in battle," however what he meant OOG was "lvl 7-17"...
A giant part of the party that came with him was either lvl 1 or 2.
So this party of lvl 1s and 2s and some higher up people show up to where the demon is and we start to attack it and its minions. After about 20 minutes or so, we finally figure out that the plumes that are spewing from the ground have to be covered. 10 more minutes later, that's all done. To close, totally awesome mod, will mod that one again anytime (though I wouldn't mind having a parry with me know to avoid my arm getting broken )
-to whomever skillfully drew the ogres weapon to the side inside the Inn at market faire and opened his body up to a world of hurt from him and myself, you have my undying respect as a swordsman and a person. That. Was. Awesome.
-Absinthe sitting with Cassandra Blithe: 10 gold
Healing salve used to get me back on my feet from 1BP after the absinthe wore off: 1 dead kobold
Using Strength +1 to RP throw a dropped bad-celt body into the woods: priceless
Main Mod!
I can successfuly say that that was the craziest fight I have ever been in. Period. Highlights from this...
-taking down a grand total of 15 baddies = new personal record in a battle ;D
-getting constantly shived by Vince (every rogue needs to learn from him how to shiv)
-speaking of teh shiv, has anybody ever seen a healer get a baddie in the back and drop it dead? Ladies and gentlemen, Elias Barkey as a healer using Blade of Victory from the shadows ;D
-seeing my teacher 1v1 against Matt's (magnus) NPC character Gabriel = just...you had to see it. It was intense.
Saturday Night and Sunday!
-Magnus the Turtle Knight and the Goblin Army!!! (IG i was ticked after finding out a bunch of us ran away from goblins. OOG I was rofl-ing all over the place)
-getting through the night uninterrupted? That's never happened before
-So many plants, so little uses of Caloric Blade...hehehe >:]
-learning Parry. Finally!
So yeah, had an amazing time at the event and I hope to be coming back again next month!

Was nice to be back and see some familiar faces, and a ton of new ones. The heat wasn't fun, nor was the mosquitos.
Friday -
Showed up, walked around in the dark for awhile, ran into laughing bear initially thinking he was an npc that was going to attempt to gank me, but then after a little while realized he was a good guy.
Hung around the Inn for a bit, met up with some people I knew from a few years ago.
Getting back into the fighting mood.
Saturday -
Waking up at 6am for npc shift, then finding out there is no such shift, and rescheduling to sunday -.-
Went back to my tent, and cooked some eggs and bacon, and went back to sleep.
Woke up to silly wake up crew, something about wanting money...
Met up with Indigo, had an epic fight (imo). I lost 3 to 2 taps.
Random happenings and shinnanigans.
Delicious market fair food.
Delicious market fair Blackjack... You always make me rich, Wally. <3
Feast was delicious, and sitting on the couches was nice, too.
Main mod was alright, thought it seemed a bit short... Crashed kinda early.
Sunday -
Waking up to npc... npcing some random things... plant zombies?
Being a part of a 3 person gank-squad, and leading a group to a random place in the woods to find the x on our secret treasure map... and finding an actual X in the woods...
Getting beat down, a lot. Love all the slow mindless npcs =P...
All in all, was a pretty good event. Not the best but not the worst. I will probably be back again next month. :)
