Great second event, should have considered wearing long pants under my skirt, but it was too darn hot. I got mosquito bites all up my legs and arms. Super sad.... but besides the OOG stuff (including the constant need for water) I think Avalyn made a ton of progress.
*NPC Shift (Friday):
- Managed to not pee my pants in a large field. Waited there for about an hour, holding a spear with two others. Excruciating, solely because of all the running, waiting, and... well more waiting.
- I detest traps to the highest of degrees now, AND I hate not being able to see in a pitch black maze. BTW, I was a Nature's Herald (silent and stupid) who fought against Master Rogues. T'was painful indeed.
*Main Mod (Saturday)
- Getting the chance to go to Ostcliff for the first time and meeting Lord Hellock. I was a bit intimidated at first, but that was to be expected (first impressions are everything).
- Making new friends! Oh, and seeing those who helped me out when it was my first moon. (Aella, Caldor, Jack...and many more but these names come to mind first lol)
- Fighting a 25-foot Lizard, with little baby Lizardkin following it. I stayed back... way back. One hit and I would have been history.
- Becoming the "glass canon". I got my headband imbued with a special power. I touched the peacock feathers and colors lit up, and sparkled around my hands. An image of myself in the future, copied itself behind me (growing in size, and then focusing into one item--). It were as though I had learned three languages in one split second. I may have gotten the biggest headache ever, but now I was also stronger than ever. (JUDGE, YOU ARE SO COOL.)
- Having a guide to rely on. Thanks Father Radd, you have been so kind to me. And yes, I have thought of becoming a Valosian Priestess. Maybe one day...
- Inverted Tower Mod was the first time I felt useless. Undead were everywhere and thus my powers were of no use. I hid behind a fellow in which I had seen often with Secarius. Al seemed quite bitter as a Healer, but as long as I didn't yell "HEALER" over and over, he promised to heal me and not the blade of grass next to me.
- Feeling sorry for the first gypsy I've ever met, his name is Victor. Those accompanying us in the Inverted Tower seem quite cold towards him. He just seems very ill and perhaps cursed with something awful. Other than that, I see no reason to hate him.
- Walking beside Secarius before battle through the dark woods, I almost trip and he allows me to latch onto his cloak. It's a good feeling, knowing he cares about me (even as distant or secretive he may be at times). The protection he provides me on the battlefield makes me feel safe, even as my bones shatter four times due to several tramples. I can tell he cares, and that's all I need.
- Getting a job at the Bloody Stump, yet while venturing there after battle, I come across trouble at Alisandria. Secarius and I, knowing that we should be helpful (since Lord Hellock advised us to) we walk onto their land asking if we can be of any assistance. Right away, we notice from inside one of the main buildings-- blood splattered all over the windows. We were not prepared for Pesmerga appearing and possessing those around us. Died, and brought to life again after hearing the lovely song of a bard. I managed to originally find shelter behind a Valosian priestess who cast Divine Sanctuary.
* Last Day (Sunday)
- Awoke to find food at the monastery, managed to once again survive without starving. This is indeed a highlight.
- Found another student of Master Crone who could be of assistance to my teaching while he is away. Sadly, I wasn't strong enough to truly learn any new abilities just yet. I will keep training harder!
- Walked into the Inn, only to notice Secarius with two black eyes. I kept asking him how he was, but he would simply say "I'm fine, I'm fine." his gaze averted from my own. I stubbornly took his cloak and that drew his attention.
Avalyn: "If I got involved and tried to protect you, would you be angry?"
Secarius: "Yes"
- Finding other Psions and talking to other Psions. It feels good to know they understand what I fear and they know I need more stability and control.
So, overall, I'd say I can't wait for the next event. //cheers

Friday Night:
- Hallucinations with Satyr’s Wine AND being Charmed by Morganna. Everyone’s hair was corn and corn silk.
- Boo yah for blasting the roots of that crystal so we could pry it out! That mod was loads of fun, mostly since I didn’t know what the hell was going on (I blame the satyr’s wine). DUnno why I was strung along, but I gotta say, I always feel safe with the lot of you all.
- Blacktree down! That’s what you get when you interrupt shady stuff. Good thing you screamed loudly, Jenna! Used my fated song to soothe her, yay.
- Four or five people were stolen from and had their limbs broken. We had to soothe and featherweight them to the Inn. That fate came in handy lol.
- I got my butt kicked badly after that. Thank the gods that the cousins took Rowan in and gave her shelter for the night.
Saturday:
- I come back to the Guild and everyone thought I was dead. Whoops!
- Unfortunately, I missed some important stuff at the inn while marshaling a ritual, but that was the first ritual I marshaled and I’m quite happy to be a logistical help within the game. (BUT I STILL GOT TO EAT PIE AND CAKE! WOOHOO!)
- Happy Birthday, Jason! The party was excellent. Great food, great company, some music, wonderful weather, and kicking the butts of incoming lizardkin…who could ask for more?
- Thank you, Christine, for letting me borrow some swimwear. Fun at the lake with the fishies
- Mother Quinn’s benediction before feast was quite fitting.
- Feast was great, as always!
- I needed sleep after a number of things at night, but WHOMP! An insect thing attacks the Guild. We could’ve really used Lathiel at that time. Good thing Tsoli ran to get help and healers.
Sunday:
- The morning rain was gorgeous and pleasant. The loud, obnoxious, wake-up gypsies…were not.
- Planning the start of an Entertainers’ Guild with Mother Remy! I am so excited to get to work with this!
- Save the Kitieran (Sorry, I don’t know how you spell your name) from the rowdy Cost Haven gang! It is so hard to concentrate on holding up a magical sanctuary when a wild, pirate-Sean is licking your hand.
-Skaroosh: “I can help you two hobbits travel…but only for about 10 feet.”
Rowan: “Uh, oh. Tic Tac Toe, RUN!”
Also, ALL the satyrs drinking Skaroosh’s homebrew mead.
- The Cookie Appreciation Competition with Caldor was wonderful, but I hope that Rowan doesn’t have to actually go that far to win all food contests. Splinters don’t sound good…
It was wonderful to see so many new players and rich characters at this event. I do look forward to interacting with you more in the future!
Gene, thank you for a great event! I’m looking forward for the next game!

First of all, I would like to thank Gene for a wonderful event.
All in all, it was a great event for me and my character, and I'm looking forward to see how these changes affect Augustus.
- Meeting the New Players while escorting Counselor Morganna. (Sorry Kristen for being so bad at that. I really do need to practice "my own customs"
- The quest for the negotiation stone. I felt useful even though I dropped multiple times. That Posi barrier.
- Getting a minor insanity cured by Doctor Maxwell with a remedy that would kill me OOG. (I'mm allergic to poppy seeds, so a mixture of morphine and opium probably wouldn't go over too well.
- Conversations with Lethias about what House Augustus wants to join.
- Augustus the ___ (I believe we have a temporary name that is NOT the Lightly Misted or Moist.)
- Coming up with a plan to deal with the Sons of Saints non-violently, but having it fail gloriously. (I'm so glad nobody took a tag.)
- Marshalling for Tower Mod. I hope everyone had a good time!
- Reading a letter from Bat Cooper at feast to let everyone know he is alive and well.
- Organizing a poker game, and getting interrupted by the lovely Pesmerga. (One day, one of Augustus' plans will work.)
- Talking with Sindarion, and realizing we have a lot more in common than I thought.
- Acting as Medieval DYFS.
- Making the hard decision to take a child away from his mother, because she was unable to provide a good home for him. (A big thank you to everyone on that mod. Dani, I really felt sorry for your character, and wanted to do everything I could to help. Marty, I hope Duncan and Dmitri live a happy and safe life, and if not, I will personally oversee your NPC's execution.
- Learning my first physical defense, and how to wield sword & shiv.
All in all, it was a great event for me and my character, and I'm looking forward to see how these changes affect Augustus.

This event was timed wonderfully in terms of my personal life...it was great to get away and see all of you. Thank you Sam R. for the talk. Thank you KR fam for having such high spirits and being so fun to play with. You were there when I needed you, as I will be for you. Muah
So, let's see...
"For luck!" (with Charcoal and Tobar, mostly Tobar) And subsequently, ecto gammat. Being able to quote The Fifth Element made me very happy. I used the english version, of course.
Then, holding a whole lot of magical items for him when he went to Hell and back, THAT was fun.
Gin Yuki and I are getting married
Being able to help out in a lesson for the first time was really, really fun
Jack Cypher's willpower for Verril...we are now special friends, Mr. Lebastion (spelling, srry)
Got a lesson I sorely needed, better late than never
Augustus reading Bat Cooper's letter at feast was really nice. I don't know him as well as I'd like, but it was a really nice moment
NPCing : I know I'm not that good (yet) but combat is getting more comfortable and less scary
Helping out with Vince's mod was super fun
Zaffrin and Moira, my times with both of you were short, but you are both absolutely awesome and you are wonderful gypsy lady role models!!(!)
Having all my limbs broken, being hushed and thrown into a hidden stash closet until the end of the fight, and almost left there. can you say traumatic? haha
Meeting Blade even though he was (just) a human was absolutely lovely. Our convo made me very, very happy
Dat Poker Game
Mister Wormwood, Zellara couldn't believe her oh-so-innocent ears!! It was a shame that he could not keep him promise
Welcome new Dexcon Gypsies
hope to have mroe time to meet and talk next time
Even more new ones!! I may have met (or pet) a couple of you last game, but the dynamic at the bar during main mod was a whole lot of fun. We knit.
Thank you to Rachel and Gannon for sharing your tent. In the barn, as well as the Kaladonia statehouse, I never really set out the few IG things I had, and going to sleep / getting dressed among them added a layer of immersion and was pretty great.
Do you think I used enough emoticons and exclamation points?
I love you all

Haven't done one of these in a while! Some notable moments for me this event were:
- Rowan on Satyr's wine. Teresa, you were adorable, hilarious, and very, very annoying all at once. I have never been more proud of you as a brother.
- The mod with Councilor Morgana and the Negotiation Stone! I'm a sucker for any plot that involves fey, fairies, or the like, and I loved seeing the different ways people tried to dislodge the stone while combat was going on around us. In addition to being an awesome mod, it's left me in anticipation for what's coming up next!
- NPC shift! "Family Spider Manhunt" was fun as all hell, and I would love to do more mods like that, be it as an NPC or a PC.
Also lizardkin. Lots of lizardkin. And then there was Elias' "how-do-we-get-it-out-of-the-tree-so-it-will-stop-throwing-javelins-at-us-ahh-my-organs" lizardkin.
- Saturday morning mod with the Sons of Saints. First we gathered up a bunch of people, sent a group ahead of us disguised as some Sons of Saints members to try and infiltrate the meeting, and we were ready to march on... only to discover that Bolton had started without us, completely unaware that the people who looked like the Sons were actually Travancians!
All in all, that little mod was fun! Very nice idea using the innocent-looking girl as a psion, and the tension between the PCs before and after the combat made for some top-notch role play.
- Running into an invisible AoE Fear effect at the Inverted Tower mod... and then responding with an explosive AoE of my own and knocking myself unconscious in the process.
- Viktor's priceless reaction when he saw that everyone around a treasure box was knocked unconscious.
"Oooooh, happy day, HAP-PY day!"
- Every interaction Sindarion had with Delinia. Really felt like I had to choose my words carefully or bad things would happen. Way to keep me on my toes!
- Stayed behind for main mod because wearing sandals for an entire LARP weekend wasn't the smartest idea. Even so, had some fun hanging out with some newer players at the bar and Matt's NPC!
"Oh, dear Valos. So this is how I die."
- The chat with Augustus when things were quiet. NOW IT MAKES SENSE WHY HE'S A SCHOLAR
- And then there was Saturday night. There was a mod where we had to save a woman's son from a "madman," and so we fought our way through gnolls and wolves to get to the man's house, only to find out that he had kidnapped the ten-year old boy because he claimed to be his father. Kudos to the NPCs on this one!
- Spending time with the Londwyns! Good food, pleasant company, intelligent conversation centered around the philosophy of the planes... what more could a fellow ask for?
- And finally, the "Meat-Grinder-turned-Role-Play" mod on Sunday morning. Good times were had. Sean licking Rowan's Magical Sanctuary and her disgusted reaction, the NPCs' many attempts to capture E for a zoo, and repeatedly shouting "Leave me alone, I'm knitting!" were a few of the things that happened before combat started.
A special shout-out to some of the new and new-ish players out there, I've found that I had some of the most fun role playing with you guys! Keep up the good work, and hope to see y'all again!

THE RETURN OF BELEGCHAND.
