Hello again! Im asking on behalf of a friend who is getting costuming together. I looked at the gamebook and Archer is not listed as one of the Celt's starting professions, but it isn't prohibited or penalized. Would it still be feasible for her to start as a Celt Archer? She is aware she has to pass a range test for boffer archery and is quite excited about it. Additionally, I am making her arrows, I have secured the shaft, and have plenty of padding on the tip, but the duct tape Im using to cover the impact point makes the arrow tip too hard. I have silver and black fabric, and was wondering that since I have the shaft tip and all the other hard parts in place and secure (already tested) could I use fabric to cover the tip? This way it wont hurt at all even when its cold. Just wondering. Thank you!

Good luck, but for me it's easier to buy arrows than make them. Larpexchange and Calicamil have good deals on arrows, and through KR you can pay less for them

As to the job, the rule book states:
Starting Professions
Each character race has a list of professions that are available to the race as the first profession that can be acquired – either at character creation or learned, if the character begins without a profession. If a certain profession is not listed under a race’s available starting professions, a character of that race cannot choose to begin play with that profession.

Also, for arrows, see this link where the new rule that they must be bought is posted:

Jason is right. The starting professions are the ones you can come into game with.

If a profession is not listed as penalized , or prohibited, you can learn it as a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th profession for 10 build. If it is labeled as penalized, you can learn but not come in with it. For 15 build.

Hope this helped.
