Although, Im curious, I've looked at these arrows and see their actual length is 32 inches. The maximum amount as far as I've read that you're allowed to draw is 26". Thats roughly 6 inches of arrow unaccounted for and it doesnt look like you can trim them down. Will the archer have to compensate with their draw distance? (I.E- make it practice to only pull back 26 inches) And Im curious about the KR discount for calimacil, I've owned weaponry from them before. How would I go about ordering them and is there a maximum on the number of arrow's you're allowed to carry at a time?

Maximum number of arrows is how ever many you can hold in your quiver.
As to the arrow question the big thing is the poundage of bows.....the arrows that are sold through Calamicil are fine, and you can order them through their website, another site that has them, or see if LARPExchange has them and talk to Mahoney(Shalok) he can bring some to the game for you to buy next time he comes if you talk to him soon enough.

If your friend has a bow already, try something with the length of the required arrows, see if it fits for her bow. Then, if it seems functional, she can order arrows and bring the bow to be tested by marshals for other safety requirements. If for whatever reason the bow is not approved, she could always ask if someone can lend a bow for the day (some people don't use theirs sometimes or have alt characters). Then she could order a different bow to try with, if she is still set on archer. It is a really fun (and somewhat uncommon) profession.
As for starting off, since she can't start game as a celt archer (see above), I suggest choosing either the race or the class and moving forward from there. Since you can get additional classes, but not races, it might be easiest to start as a celt commoner and quickly learn the archer profession. Or any other class she is interested in that is a starting class.
Whew, sorry, that was long. Excited to meet another archer! Let her know I'd be happy to chat about rules, archery, professions, etc.

Keep in mind, you can't go from Celt Commoner to Archer - your first class MUST be one of the starting classes.
Ranger isn't a bad choice, as you still get the bow, and other useful skills.
