Considering it was a cartoon kiwi, I think the warner bros law of physics will apply here and that the kiwi more than likely didn't die, but was flattened to a pancake. He (or she) will spring back up, stretch like an accordion, and resume his (her?) hunt to get the roadrunner,er... I mean alternative means of flying.

If you ever see it, or have a child whom you want to give a book to, check out Berk Breathed's Opus' (the penguin) Christmas book, "A Wish for Wings That Work." It's great! I read it to my 7th graders when we do adaptations. Great website for used books = abebooks.com

They have also adapted it into a very cute movie, of which my roomate has a copy and made me watch this year. Its fairly amusing.
