I had a moose over to my place once. We just chilled out and watched the Flyers; moose love hockey. At one point the moose asked me for a beer, but all I had in the fridge was Moosehead, which I didn't notice until I handed him one. It was... awkward.

Actually, perhaps not. Your argument is premised on a Moose needing to remove such a hat.
You see, a hatrack is generally placed just inside the front door so that the resident might not offend by still wearing their hat within the confines of the house. Since very few folk actually invite moose into the home, this need for a hatrack would be, for the most part, eliminated.
