Moresca Ball - Hotel Deal

If anyone is still looking for a hotel room theres a place about 1 1/2 miles from the lake hotel called the capri motel, I called and they said its around $70 a room there so I think thats where the mckraegars and Mcsweenys will be staying.  The # is (845) 331-8400‎.

Anyone who placed a reservation with The Lake Motel may want to try and contact the place.

I've attempted to get ahold of them to confirm my reservation but haven't been able to get anyone on the line, nor has anyone returned my messages.  What's more, there is a new message on the machine stating that the place is now under new management.

I called the owner, he did say the hotel is under new management.  I'm calling the new manger (got Voicemail), and will confirm WTF is going on.

so the McBanes and 'Khitan-town' will also be staying at the Capri Motel...and we grabbed the last 2 rooms according to the guy I spoke with. I feel a little bad for any mundanes who might be there that weekend..lol

Thanks for being on top of things.  I am a little concerned considering they asked for our credit card information and suddenly there is a change with no messages or emails to the people who had reserved.

Please don't do something that will get KR a bad name.  Hotels have long memories, and will often blame "freaks" for things that other people did because it's easier to spot them.  (This is from 10+ years of attending and running Gaming cons - we regularly get blamed for problems caused by wedding parties, etc. in the hotel at the same time.)

I called the Lake Motel - they are indeed under new management, and the old manager didn't give them any information about the 14th, so they have nothing on record.  I spoke with the new manager directly, she re-confirmed everything with me, took my card, and asked that anyone else who had a room call her on her Cell to sort things out.  She was very nice and apologetic for the issues, but from what it sounds like it was beyond her control, and should be fixed once people call in.
