Question about WITL and Grilling was created by Aella (Onirazael)
Since we have to provide our own food and I do like to eat... Can I bring up a portable grill to BBQ or are there places/pits we can BBQ in? I clearly like BBQ and would like to eat said BBQ.

Each of the camp areas have their own fire pits. I would suggest bringing a grill grate though since I can't recall which have them and what condition they are in. If you'd prefer your grill that's ok, as long as its a charcoal grill and not modern looking.

I think the Monastery has a fire pit outside it, and you can use the cover grill from our grill over it.

Diane / Kleidin has a tripod grill... I'll be sure to pack it. (She'll want to use it too, I am sure!)

I think this might be the chance to do in-game roasting on a spit. What animal(s) should we roast? I can provide the spit.

A bunch of people could chip in to buy a pig maybe? Or a couple of chickens, maybe even a turkey..or a roast?

While I would never discourage the roasting of meats over a fire, if Cory really wants Tofu, you could get a tight grill and slow roast it.

I think I am going to be leaving Wed night and get there probably around 11 PM. I will stop on the way and probably pick up a couple of chickens for roasting. That is, if we're still doing the spit roasting bit? We could have them for lunch or dinner on Thursday.

We have a turkey for the IG engagement party that could get cooked on the spit.

This spit is very IG, all cast iron and such, and can hold two chickens easy. Be aware--it takes a long time (maybe four hours) to cook up a bird on a spit. Can we do shifts?
I'll also bring along a cast-iron tripod and kettle, so we can make 9-bean-soup over the fire (looks at Coryan).

I can make a huge mess of stew instead of the chickens and bring it down with me so we can heat it up over the fire. If Cory is a vegetarian I can bring down vegetable soups for him and bread.

Pendarvin has a nice grate/grill BBQ. I woud like to discourage using a spit, unless you have someone(s) who will spend the time and have the knowledge how to use it. I cooked a pheasant on a spit, and it takes serious time to have ti taste both good and not over/under done.
Pendarvin also has a habachi. Bring plenty of charcoal and the tools necessary for cooking.

Where and when should we have this small feast? Like I said, I'm coming up late on Wed night. I'll have the stew with me then if anybody is in favor of having a late dinner at around midnight. If not I'm sure if I ask nicely they will allow me to store the pot in the kitchens and we can have it for lunch the next day. We'd have to pick a location. Inn, or a camp site?

The forge sounds like a good spot to have it. What day/time should we shoot for? I'm voting Thursday around one or two. Also, is anybody allergic to anything? I'll post the ingrediants to the stew I'm bringing below. If there is something someone cannot have, I will not add it to the stew.
Beef chunks
Salt
Pepper
Flour
Beef stock
Green beans
Corn
