~Message to all who called Mercy home~

My name is Nesterin and I am a Selendrian druid. I have spoken to a handful of you but i feel there are more of you that I have not spoken to. Should you ever need any assistance in Travance please do not hesitate to ask. If I cannot help you personally I will find someone who can.

I do believe we have met Nesterin, not long after my father had found me in Travance. As a short-term leader of Sanctuary myself, I would also urge any displaced citizens to speak with me as well. I hope to make our transition into Travance as painless as possible. As far as the Skylari are concerned, though this is not the method we seeked to use (I would like to believe our final methods would have involved far less deaths) this is precisely what we have been working for.

Dearest Mercians,

I am beyond relieved to hear that more of our number have been recovered than previously thought. Before we all settle into this new land and find our place among the people of Travance, I ask that any who are literate send me a missive detailing any and all recollections of their time on Mercy. I would like to compile a history of our people and our island before our own minds deteriorate and lose her memory forever. If you know any Mercians who cannot read this posting, please send them to me at the next Baronial feast so I may gather their oral recollections as well.

I am currently engaged in a parallel writing endeavor and may have a lead of use to both of us. As I've no wish to expose anyone's private business on this public forum, I have sent private correspondence regarding the specifics.

To the former Residents of Mercy and the Barony of Travance,

First and foremost, I wish to thank those of the Barony who rescued us from the icy depths of the waters surrounding what use to be our isle of Mercy. Though it pains me that many of our brothers and sisters did not survive the battle that fateful night, it is good to see that those who did have found a home within this new land. For those who wish to question my brothers and sisters of Mercy, I only ask that you please respect some of our silence while we try to come to grips with what we have lost.

With that said, I feel as though it is only right to say the following in an open forum. Those who were cast outside the great walls of Sanctuary, the "Branded" as I have heard was the common tongue's word for us, met the great dragon Tellegrim in battle shortly before the isle of Mercy was destroyed. We fought to protect our home and rid the world of a great atrocity. Though he was weakened and in human-form, we all fell while defending a town who turned us away while our home crumbled beneath our feet. It seems that Mercy saved a few of us from the clutches of being the undead servants of the Winged Calamity.

Though we have fought in the past and disagreed with political views over governance and guidance, I ask that those of Mercy attempt to put aside our differences. If you see one that wears the brand, do not think ill of them as we gave our lives to defend those who looked down upon our ways. We are all that is left of that island and we should respect its decision to save those it did.

If those who bare the Brand wish to speak with with one of their own, please send a raven my way.

I have seen the terrible fury and soul-corrupting power of Tellegrim with my own eyes. We must be united with the world if we wish to stand in defense our new home.
