To Whom it May Concern,

In this statement, I make no claim to represent the views of any others, including but not limited to beings of the Prime Material plane, nor of Arawyn, Palamydia, the Faerie Courts, the Air Court of Faeries, the Sylph Court, the Kingdom of Kormyre, the Mages' Guild of Kormyre, the Barony of Travance, the Inquisition of Travance, the Land of Ostcliff, the Baronial Estates, the City of Travance Proper, nor the City of Mordavia.

I am in support of the contract as most currently proposed.

Effectively, nothing will change; rogue agents of the Abyss and Mortal realms will continue to meddle in Mortal affairs, but the flow of said agents will be limited by this contract, and most notably will mean that we will be rid of the direct involvement of Mother and Jailer, specifically.

My only further amendment would be to specifically bind all direct recipients of power from Mother or Jailer to the agreement, including but not limited to Mother's consorts, children, legionnaires, and all other demons directly aligned with the Abyssal Throne of Fire, as well as Jailer's consorts, children, legionnaires, and all other demons directly aligned with the Abyssal Throne of Ice. I would ask that any demoncallers, summoners, worshippers, or other mortal allies of the Abyssal Thrones of Fire or Ice also be bound to the contract, with the Abyssal Lords of Ice and Fire outlining punishments for policing their own in the case of rogue Mortal agents aligned to their Thrones. This will maximally limit the number of Abyssal beings capable of breaking the contract, and additionally provide a clear deterrent for any mortal agents of the Abyssal Thrones to consider breaking the contract as proposed.

With Utmost Respect and Gratitude to Her and His Abyssal Ladyship and Lordships' Esteemed Abyssal Advocate,

.-~Mantel-Warrane-~*

P.S. It goes without saying that I expect Travance to make the same concession, outlining the explicit punishments those who break this Contract will face should they choose to do so.

P.P.S. Additionally... Should some imbecilic child decide to wreck things and breach against this favorable opportunity, what occurs? Does the contract as a whole fall apart for all parties? I would suggest a Military Tribunal consisting of the Three Chosen Representatives to determine guilt, consequences, and punishments.

To those who care of the thoughts of others, not including myself,

We speak for ourself in saying. Now this is a much more fair deal. Well outlined and such of to the like. This is something I can support, versus the other piece of filth that was to be considered prior. From what I see off of my second read of the deal, there happens to be no loopholes as long as we stay in line and they the same. I would persist that punishments for all independent parties should be outlined in the contract; for posterity if nothing else.

I would also like to echo something I have heard earlier, these beings The Mother and The Jailor, are not evil. They are merely the chaos that balances your order. To those who wish them and their positions gone, would be to wish your order gone as well. It is known the effects an imbalance in their thrones causes on our plane, to be it our plane effects theirs in the like, so on and so forth with them all. Evil is such a trifling word honestly, it has no say in intelligent conversation, only in emotional conversation. We may choose to speak with our minds or our hearts freely, but understand survival is not a matter of the heart.

Now although I say I support this revision of the contract as shown. Amendments may still be needed; to our scholars I say amend. This is business when we boil down to it after all.

Honestly, although I may be known for being.... eccentric in my ways of approaching chaos. Yet, those six months of a quell to primary hostilities sounds rather enticing, does it not? We deal so much in these matters, yet others are aloof we may find relaxation in time.

Do as you would, this is your life. I do as I. We choose to say this much.

This contract would be null and void.

There is no such entity "Travance" that can sign this contract.

Unless "all Nobles of Kormyre, subjects and visiting nobility, commoners and laypersons from any land/time within the borders of the Barony during the terms of the contract" - each and every one of them - sign the contract, then there is no possible way that this contract can go into effect.

There must be a stipulation that the proper authority (e.g. the Baron or one appointed as legate/representative by the Baron) of Travance is the signer of the contract.

Saturday marks the Feast of the Reclamation, the fourth anniversary since our victory against the demonic incursion. We waged war against Xualla, Balfurous, and all those minions born out of the same abyssal hellfire that spawned Karl and his masters, and arose victorious then. We will again.

As Mantel has done, I will make no claim to speak on behalf of any organization or any other person in this Barony or any other.

Growing up on the outskirts of the Capitol of our Kingdom, Alleander, I came of age literally and figuratively in the shadow of giants. In the shadow of men and women of morals, virtue, honor, and principle. On the day of this Feast, I will bear and fly the crimson and azure that they all swore to protect and uphold.

Together, we will solve this for all those who fought and those who fell in the Incursion; for those who fought and those who fell fighting shoulder to shoulder with His Majesty's finest in Glangsdale in an effort to reclaim the city from demonic control; for Julie, a young woman who stood alone before a demon "prince" and told him "No" before being obliterated.

As the guarantors of security of this realm, we do not surrender to, nor ally with, nor act subservient to demonic forces. We do them the Mercy of ushering them back unto their own plane.

As a proud subject and servant of His Majesty's Kingdom, I stand firmly against this contract.

I sign here with neither respect nor gratitude, nor recognition of any noble title granted by those who disdain the word noble in all definition.

I am not going to bother with opinions of my own in this however I will state the following:

Is there a way to merely state "Until an Earth Abyssal Lord has been placed upon the throne?" I know there are many people who wish to see if Travance can purify Kalen and put something/someone on the throne that actually should be there and intends to act as such. This contract would nullify these efforts.

It appears The Phoenix, Dean Mae Fang Zhang, has beaten me to the parchment this night, as I had just considered that bit myself.

I wish to see the Principality of the Earth Court of Faeries purified, so that all of the faeries drawing power through it may be freed. Thus, Kalen Maitel must be purified of the Mantle of the Abyssal Lord of Earth, and all of the Corruption he has collected since, his wishes be damned to all four Hells and all planes of the Abyss.

I also cannot deny that I wish to see the Mountain King's judgement on his son gone astray.

We can purify his Key and send him home. I am sure the Abyssal Lords of Ice and Fire would rather have the Lordship fall to one whom agrees with their dispositions on these matters, more than Kalen ever did or ever would.

After all, it is only a matter of time before Kalen decides to get up and walk away from the Throne again. Why not insure that this doesn't happen, at least for another Age, instead of just another century or so? A century is such a short time for us Immortals, wouldn't you agree, Q'aare'zl?

Q'aare'zl,

Last minute consideration. This truce must extend to Abyssal pacifism with regard to the Kingdom of Kormyre and all of her fiefs. Should Mother or Jailer engage in hostilities against any other subdivision of Kingdom of Kormyre, we will be forced to respond in support of that subdivision, against your Abyssal Legions.

Additionally, we must consider what taking this deal will mean for the rest of the World Powers on Palamydia, and how they will respond. Our neighbor Tameria responded most unfavorably with our last dealings with the dark, and has been hostile ever since. Ergo, you must extend protection at least to all of our Barony and Kingdom's allies, as well. The truce is unfavorable if it means we will be thrown into a war with the rest of the denizens of Arawyn for taking the deal regardless. Especially such a war, which would clearly take far longer than six months to resolve, at which point your Abyssal Legions could join the hostilities against us without penalty.

We cannot bind any of these other powers to agree to ceasing hostilities against Mother and Jailor, but at any given breach of the truce by any of these parties, you are within your rights to defend yourselves and respond accordingly to that given party. I believe Travance would support such defensive actions by the Abyssal Legions.

However, this deal is unfavorable to us until these points are addressed.

With Respect,

I received this letter to be posted here for all to see.

"This letter is written from the desk of Lord General Magnus by his squire’s hand.

The people of this town have stared oblivion in the eye time and time again, rising to meet any enemy that stands before us. Through our town’s strength and unity, we are capable of overcoming these foes, as we have with the many overwhelming odds we have faced before them.

It is now that I speak with the voices of those who are holding the line in the Chaos Wastes, patrolling the seas, or are scattered to the corners of Arawyn and unable to speak on the matter. Below are the names of those presently outside the proper who wish to share their disdain and utter rejection towards signing a pact with demons:

Lord General Magnus
Cinder Draa'Velven
Lumaneris Draa'Velven
Sorn
Squire Odette Lucatiel, Acolyte of the White Fox
Aikichi
Commodore Jun, The Pirate King
Dame Amalthea LAURENT-BELMONT, the Heart of Kaladonia
Father Utgard, Prophet of Enax
Kanas, Acolyte of the White Fox
Reno Roulette Tropicana
Squire Valanye

It is our most sincere hope that our words carry weight and are considered whilst Travance’s Barony deliberates on the matter."

I speak only for myself, a humble man who has mined for black diamonds beneath Southern Londwyn.

This contract opposes all that I stand for. I have refused to bow to tyrants who bear the disguise of humanity. I will not bow to a tyrant that does not hide their true intents. This "Mother" has manipulated the people of this land in the past, and has promised to do so again: consider that six months time is nothing to an immortal being. In this blink of an eye, this contract's so-called "cessation of hostilities" will be up, and all will be the same, except we will have knelt at the feet of a monster. It will be back-- a time without hostilities indicates a return to hostility. I will not stand idly by and allow a contract that belittles me to be signed when I have the most powerful weapon of all to bring to bear: a voice.

To any who would oppose this insult, I urge you to speak. Do not sheathe the sword that is your defiance.

But what do I know. I'm just a humble coal miner.

It seemed redundant to list it here, but for clarity's sake I wish this known.

The United Church of the Light refuses to harbor any agreement with the Lords of the Abyss. If this document is signed, it runs counter to every tenet of our beliefs. Despite one exception, the Church as a whole will not be associated with anyone who signs, nor will it consider binding any agreement made with Demons. The one exception will be counseled on her misunderstanding, and I am confident will realize her mistake.

We stand with all those who oppose this agreement, and will fight to defend our Barony as we always have from these invaders, no matter the Lord they serve.
