Starting a PC was created by Gallion (Gallion)
Im thinking about starting a 1st level PC and playing him at least a couple of hours each event in order to try to get a little bit of a perspective from the other side.

I have no idea what class, but will likely be human.

Who wants to suggest character ties to me?

Perhaps you have patroned the Blackbird? Perhaps you're chummy with the eccentric bartender and owner that work there ;)

Chet does have siblings. When you're from a place where social graces aren't ingrained in you at an early age, you--sometimes literally--bump into people or come up with outside-the-box conversation starters. Also, coming from the bottom of the socio-economic barrel, there really is only one way to go and that would lead someone to have lofty goals.

Reyna has lots of “connections” from her travels between leaving the north and coming to Travance! :)

Or if you’re going the less shady route, she did travel a lot and meet a lot of people. Maybe they met in a bar somewhere!

Reyna Del Dragon Reign

Khala has a bunch of options! Old friends from Coast Haven, or one of her many students, or one of her group of Malycites that she formed in Sagewood.

Kel (before becoming Ser Tristram's squire) was a farmer outside Trunrick and does have brothers. Also a dad that shes never met lol.

Main Character: Khala Stormbringer
Alt: Keladry Aybara

Here's an idea:
A simple monk from a far away land. No connections to anyone on this continent and eager to learn and talk to people. The garb would be different (easily seen) from you other roles IG so no one will confuse this new character with your others.. Offers opportunity to interact - especially with new players.

Primus of the Church of Light in Travance

Just a random Travancian commoner from the outter baronial territories. which a few lists accommodate. Brute for the tough fella, Gambler for the quick lucky son-of-a-gun, or maybe just scholar with diplomacy for the local fella what knows things, and has had to defuse more then one argument about whose chicken was whose..

If you'd be looking to play a Bell or even a ratcatcher I'd be amiable to that.

Another suggestion:

A number of your NPCs are happy-go-lucky non fighter/non committal joke characters.

Jonah, Carl Carlson, etc etc. They all kinda have a "come what may" personality and can be a bit sarcastic.

I think if you played someone with a strong character goal, and a real go-getter attitude (to get you on mods/content) you would have a much closer experience to what you are looking for.

Dirge comes from a large family of farmers in Farfield. You Know, the lands currently occupied by the Duke's forces, and have probably been fighting the occasional border skirmish with demons from the Demon Barrows. Needless to say, you're welcome to be part of the Morgan family.

Hi,

Before coming to Travance I traveled as a merchant for many years. If you are looking for a character connection we could have met before. Feel free to drop by the forge.

Honestly, I feel like you should play a Smith. I also think i'd be cool to come in with a character goal that coincides with what a lot of people are putting out here, but know no one or only one person IG to start. Just to get a full new player experience.

As far as race goes, Goblinoids are underplayed as well at Katta. Although a Hafling or Dwarf could be cool.
