Could a character have different change in costume or should they stay the same always?

You can always change your costume.. but it's often a good idea to go with some kind of color combo that stays similar... it will help keep the identity of your character in people's minds, and give a hint that when you aren't wearing that color, you might be NPCing, or a different character.

But that's just my $.02... there are people who have a more varied clothing line for their characaters than I do.

I would recommend a change in clothing, if you can afford it, because in the summer, you sweat through it, in the winter, your clothing can get wet with mud and snow, and really, the only characters I've ever known who don't change clothes are my Sims.

As a gypsy, I like to have several different options, because I love color, but it's all up to you.

Rather than wearing the exact same clothes (for all the reasons mentioned), you might consider an accessory that stands out to signify "I am playing (x) character" - like Kate's smashing hat, for example :)
