Rather than wearing the exact same clothes (for all the reasons mentioned), you might consider an accessory that stands out to signify "I am playing (x) character" - like Kate's smashing hat, for example

it's often a good idea to go with some kind of color combo that stays similar... it will help keep the identity of your character in people's minds
