I appreciate the well wishes and good karma sent my way.   I was discharged from St. Luke;s Bethleham today.  Yesterday was the first day in two weeks I was allowed to walk.  Briefly, I will be on blood thinners for at least 3 months and will be green headbanded during that period.  To make a very long story short, I was misdiagnosed and treated improperly at first, which led to critical complictions.  St. Lukes is the best - no problems there.

I will do my best to oogle all those of the appropriate gender who mistakenly called me a dirty old man.  I am late-middle aged.   The chicken salad is a bonus, albeit a very tasty one.  I have a bit of a limp (temporary) and have to recover a bit of my constitution, but the only change in my KR participation will be the nn-combat requirement do to the blood thinnning medications which makes bruising more likely and possibly cmplicated.  I do not need clotting related complications now - necromancers, yes, blood- no.

I will be at the November Event and will bring the usual supplies and oversee, if not prepare, Satruday and Sunday Breakfast.  Remember, (I hope this is not metagaming, but as it involves feeding the flock, it should be posted somewhere), for IG reasons Edwin will not be making Friday night stew.

Those of you into jargon:  My left femoral vein was occluded to the point that no blood was returning from below the knee.  That was the deep vein part.  The sephacious (which I probably misspelled but I know what it is) vein was superficially blocked as well.  I do not do things by half.  How serious did they think it was?  Friday -night I was ambulanced to St. Lukes and I was an early morning Saturday (with the weather) procedure.  Still not told to walk I was expected to use a portable urinal.  I will leave you wilth a disquieting image (just for you, Jenna) - BLACK
