Oh my.
I can assure you I had nothing to do with the terrible murder of Swyft. Goggs, what you saw me doing was not something insane, I was able to see and help Swyft's spirit. All I wanted was to help her, she guided me to her own body which was... in horrible condition. Illana and Misaki along with Reese were with me as well. So maybe getting in contact with each of us would be best. I would be more than happy to help you in your search for the culprit who did such a terrible deed.

Wotcher,
Indeed Miss Dura, having only this moon shown me evidence of your thoroughly caring and empathetic spirit, I personally wouldn't ever be able to suspect you of murder! Rather, I meant that the situation was somewhat puzzling, and, what with Mister Orion being (I am told) in the business of finding people, he might be better equipped to identify the useful details in your testimony - along with that of myself and your companions. It's just logical, really.
As concerns being able to see the dead: without meaning to be patronising, I do believe we have similar capabilities back home, however rather than being limited only to those who follow a religion or exhibit accelerated metabolisms, it would seem that only those with impaired vision are incapable of such an act.
However, as much as we loved them in life, dead people are unpleasant to look at for an extended period of time, so we bury them in the ground as soon as we are done grieving.
If there's some fine detail here that I am missing, then please correct me at the next feast - otherwise, I think it better we focus on discussing the circumstances of Miss Swyft's death. I really rather enjoyed her company, and it is sad to think that she will no longer be amongst our number in town.

Dear kind sirs and ladies,
Thank-you for your support and concern. I know I have not been in Travance long enough to fully establish myself so I do appreciate your willingness to look into this, uh... issue.
Mr. Goggins, old chap, I am not actually dead-dead, though a part of me has certainly perished from the experience. I had some wonderful people help me find my way back to the world of the living, bless their hearts for what they saw and for having the courage and know-how to put me back together. I can't imagine that was an easy task.
While I have not the desire nor mental capacity to relate to you the fine details of what transpired, I can assure you that it was the most pain and helplessness I have ever felt. And to be alone in the dark and dying slowly was simply another layer of desperate horror to add to this whole fiasco.
Here is the story, from what I can recall.
I was worried about my new friend, Imrahil. He'd been gone a long time and I was too frightened (for good reason) to go looking for him in the woods on my own. I asked for an escort. A man who, in my exhaustion and in the dark, resembled someone I'd met earlier that day and who seemed to be a decent enough person, considering his company, offered his assistance. I should have known something was up when he didn't want to wait for Clove to join us...
We made it all the way to Drega'Mire when Clove announced that it was bedtime, and he headed off. Not thirty seconds after he left, everything went black.
When I awoke, my world was a blazing wall of pain. And I couldn't even scream for help or heal myself because I was bound and gagged. This stranger had mutilated me, and my only saving grace is that it was too dark to see the extent of what he had done. He made me answer yes to his five wedding vows before I slipped into my death.
If you DO want the fine details, and I do not suggest it for the weak of heart, please speak to those above who found me. I find myself growing dizzy at the very idea of explaining just how often his knife cut into me.
The man who I mistook for a friend was tall with black hair and a well kept short beard. I cannot un-see him, considering. And I quake with fear at the very thought of seeing him again. If you thought I could run fast from the wolves... well. I think I may very well sprout wings at the appearance of this one.
I beg of you, do not go out into the night alone while this monster walks.

My thanks to all those who have posted here on this matter. Your interest on bringing the person to justice and putting together all known information on the incident is much appreciated.
However, the Guard apprehended the culprit a few hours after the incident. I interrogated him and found that he was guilty of torturing Swyft and perhaps other crimes as well. His motives were unclear and likely due to serious mental illness, suffice to say, he was obviously not within his right mind.
If any members of Travance have any queries on the matter, please feel free to send me a missive at the Armory where I reside.
