P.S.
For those worried about the folks inside the grove when the wall went up, you needn't have worried.
Inside the Grove:
Aldric looks around and sees he is rear guard with psycho Keavy, Joric joins us, and some of the others and says: "Look at this motley group we are." In my/Aldric's head (Those poor Drow Bastards).
Quote of the Night: "You think you have me locked in here with you.... YOU are locked in here with ME."
Summary of next twenty minutes: Murderface... then: Keavy: "Ok guys nothing left in the Grove to kill."

Whoa.
Right after lay-on, sitting down in the Inn and writing poems by candlelight. Seriously awesome.
Taking up Mother Maralas' offer, I decided to go to Gaian Mass. Before I went, Ilana and Danny warned me about walking alone at night and gave me buffs. I used a scroll of Invisibility that I'd been carrying around for almost a year. Part of the way into my trip, it saved my life. Two men leaped out of the shadows and attempted to assassinate me. They would have, but for that scroll. Moments later I arrive, unscathed, at the Baronial Manor and knock on the door. Inside, I'm greeted by Caldor.
"Nalick! I was worried you wouldn't be able to come."
"I was too."
I thoroughly enjoyed the mass. The premise of Mother Maralas' and Angeliana's speeches were incidentally what Nalick needed to hear, which led to seeking out Caldor for advice on Sunday afternoon. I am still chuckling about the analogy that Caldor made.
Later that night was my NPC shift. A full-time NPC and I were sent out as bounty hunter partners back from a job. It ended with my NPC getting into a drunken swordfight with Namit and someone waylaying me. Then, getting tickled while someone checked my pockets and boots for loot.
Then sleep.
It's always nice to get up on time for food, even if it's lunch and not breakfast.
I headed down to Peonia and Nadya's tent for hookah, drink, and conversation. That was relaxing.
Then I was at the Caravans while everyone was setting up for the wedding. Ruindol wondered what was taking Morwenne so long, so I offered to go find her. After being told she was probably in the Monastery, I headed there to find out there had been a "cosmetic explosion" and that she would be there soon.
Back at the wedding. A lovely ceremony until the wicked bards showed up. I managed to escape, bruised, and made my way to Kaledonia. Trisana protected the both of us from a corrupted bear and then healed me while I told her and Dmitri what had happened. Two men come running up the path asking, "Are either of you Nalick?"
"I am."
"There are no less than 20 people looking for you."
Little old Nalick, perplexed as heck. Once back at the Caravan fields, Clytie comes at me at full speed shouting my name before giving a big hug.
There's a crowd of people and I'm asked for a special artifact.
"Oh, that's right here in my satch--" and I start digging around in my bag, unable to find it. "I could swear it was right here."
"WHERE IS IT!?"
Ruindol orders me to retrace my steps, and I do. Within roughly a minute, Ruindol finds it nearby to where I'm paused and frustrated at myself. We make our way back, the artifact safe, and the story rolled on.
That's when I hear people mention Calliope, so I ask what happened. Unfortunately, they told me. I expressed deep regret for fleeing, but everyone I spoke with told me that there was nothing I could have done. Cue un-Andorran thoughts about the 'Hollow Song'.
Caldor telling Clytie that I would make a good shield. Clytie noted that I was a bit too skinny for that job, so Caldor darts over to the refreshment table and comes back with a handful of desserts. Then at Feast, notes a lack of food on my plate -- I was almost done -- and piles on some more. To be fair, I finished the rest without struggle.
Feeling manly in the flower brigade
Talking with Evee about various things, complimenting her on her quick grasp of sarcasm, which she learned from Annora (!), and sharing my poetry.
Hearing Cecilia quietly singing a song and asking her to write down the lyrics. Sunday afternoon, she returned the favor by asking Nalick to teach her one of his songs. That was one of my more enjoyable moments.
Speaking with Master Silverbow about joining the Mages Guild after inquiring about Clytie.
A nice conversation with Faila and Master Silverbow, although all I remember is Faila sharing her ale and me making corny jokes.
IMPROMPTU SONG CIRCLE! Sunday afternoon, I asked Croi when the next song circle would be. Someone else at the table said we should have one right now and it happened! Burkhart and Sindarion each sang songs. I told a story that I will tell again at the next circle. I love spontaneous fun.
Flipping through my book and Scout noting the title to a rather bawdy song on one of the pages. I attempted to hide it, which turned into everyone trying to take my book away. I tore the sheet out of my book and almost ate it before Kanas pulled it away with Bear Strength. Then I got it back, but Evee took it and ran off. When I chased her, she blew me back with a gust of wind and then floated about 20 or 30 feet into the air. As it turns out, she didn't know how to read, or at least told me so.
I gave my blank shield to Peonia to paint something on it for me.
My mind was in the gutter a lot, and there were moments when I would laugh and no one would know why. Thankfully, I can't remember any of what was said.
Melody was wonderful and so, so fluffy. I loved when Keavy assumed her wolf form and the two of them played together. It was adorable.
I found out that my satchel can hold most anything, including a folded-up blanket. That received quite a bit of usage, when people were actually cold and also draping it over someone snoozing on the murder couch. It's sure to make a return, as will I.

I loved playing the role of Jester and entertainer at the wedding! I tried to interact with everyone as much as I can, I hope you call enjoyed the song I sang (I wrote that song btw) I really do hope you all enjoyed the wedding, I tried to give 110% to make it that you all would remember it.
Gaian Mass....I was sooo scared you guys to since that song, I wrote it myself and it seems like the more personal the song is it seems that I get so nervous that others will not like it.
Healer Metting went well and I was so happy to see a good chunck of you

So there I am, about to put my last costume bits on to play Orophin Saturday morning and Steve walks in all "You should play your other character, trust me."... so I do... fast forward to an quite epic and mostly needed nap into feast and getting woken up to go to said feast. As I put my boots on, and wonder why it was necessary to be Philidin and why I was getting woken up to go to feast it hits me as I'm walking down the stairs... Aleister gets called up to make an announcement and my suspicious were confirmed. Also I think a few people congratulated me before I realized what they were talking about.
A+ surprise, would surprise again.

This was a really really awesome weekend for me. Friday night was lovely - Friday nights are usually my favorite time – hanging out at the bar, drinking satyrs wine at the empty bloody stump, and meeting the King of the dark elves. Two great conversations were with NPC bodyguard Kaylen (
)and the Prime’arch himself. They just kept answering questions so I kept asking them…..
Ginny: So what’s the second thing you’re most proud of?
Don: Destroying the houses and rewriting history?
Ginny: Well, that’s a given. What else?
Saturday I got some baubles at the fair, played my instrument, and then hung out with some gypsies smoking hookah and playing music. That was when Calliope showed up, hung out, and insisted that we all go to Tobar’s wedding.
Julius/Romeo was creepy awesome even before anything else happened. Then stuff happened. Oh the feels. And Tobar gets her guts all over his face…. wow. Took a while to calm down from it - I was so worked up IG I kept tearing up for reals. Of course Carlos read Ginny’s cards and Calliope showed up in them too. Oooooooh goodness.
I loved sitting on a barrel just playing away. As background music. I was a little surprised by a moment of silence… for a bard…. But the clanging plate was a nice touch. Somehow I think Calliope may have been the one who jiggled his arm.
I got a couple lessons done before & after feast, but one in particular was an opportunity to take my char in an interesting direction. Thanks – you know who you are.
I was planning on leaving after NPCing main mod, but I was so worn out I decided to just sleep and leave in the morning. Even then I got out later than I anticipated because I just love hanging out with my KR family. LOVE YOU GUYS.

Alex and I were only at Camp Sac for about 8 hours on Saturday, but so many good moments. Although we had NPC'ed several months before we brought PCs in game, this marked Faila and Nostarion's one year anniversary in Travance. Highlights include:
• The post wedding RP that led to Faila's attempt to calculate how many units of mithril it would take to forge a teapot large enough for Clytie and Jed. Some images you just can't shake, even if you want to.
• An excellent Tower mod. Terrific NPCs, chaotic alteration, seriously injuring my friends, and some great RP - so fun. This was my final Tower mod and I was happy it included Alander who Faila met on her first day in Travance. along with a lot of other new/ish players I have had the pleasure of getting to know. Kudos to Matt and Katie for all of your hard work on behalf of the new players, it is appreciated and I will miss it (but I'm happy to NPC for you).
• Finally having time for Faila and Keavy to meet about Faila's smithing mark and Dani's beautiful and spot-on artwork. I am so excited to get to use it on things.
• My final lower list smithing lessons.
• Yummy and well-served feast. Thank you to the kitchen staff this event!
• Main mod. Wow. The glade was beautiful and creepy at the same time. Sister Danae's pre-battle complaining about our small group was spot-on as was her lecture to Faila about following orders. Kanas and his drow hate. The fighting was grand. But the all time best moment was when John T's drow insulted Faila by calling her mother a w***e (or something equivilent). I haven't shared backstory widely at all and I am confident there is no way he could have known that was the one thing he could say that would make Faila lose it and she did - I got to killing blow 4 before another drow attacked and I had to defend. Faila wanted his sword, but no such luck. Thank you John and all the main mod NPCs.
• Having a chance for some of Faila's Quinarian arrogance to show a bit - some humans can just be dumb sometimes
• Finally, we had to leave before main mod ended, and I want to thank the many people who expressed concern that we take the right path back (no worries, I had a flashlight and a good sense of direction), but I really do appreciate your care (and apologize for getting in the way of the action on the path).
Thank you to James, the staff and everyone who was involved in the event. Hope to see you all at least briefly during WITL.
