Theory: No matter how prominent your NPC role was, players (not characters, players) will later describe the scene to you as if you were on another planet when it transpired.

The possible exception to this rule is Steve Oros.

possibly a trend....

With the Warhammer 40K book series of The Horus Heresy, all known 40K players who also KR will inevitably find a comparison between their PC and one of the main characters. Me? I'm likely Corax- few know when I'm around, even the Count.
