The Duke could be possessed by the symbiote. Further investigation is perhaps needed before passing true judgement. Maybe the symbiote is intelligent or is controlled by intelligence and had chosen hosts with power. The Duke is related to the king who passed away. If the intention of the symbiote is to control all in the empire then maybe possessing the Duke was a probable way to do it, so maybe they or it did. Maybe there’s probable cause to my claimes. It could be right.
