Harlowe,
There is no need to apologize for the way your writing looks. You're trying and that's what matters! Once all this is done, if you ever need some help practicing or improving, I would be more than happy to sit with you.
That having been said, does this stone look like it was cut this way or is it more natural looking. Well, as natural looking as a glowing rock could be. Other than the upturned earth, does it appear to be affecting any plants or creatures in the area?
If you are able to get a sketch or something of it, that would be incredibly helpful for us.

Does this object seem to be effecting anything around it? Like are plants doing weird things or look different??

Are the animals acting strangely about it? Are critters avoiding going near the rock? Do the birds and the crickets not sing as they normally would in the area around the rock? Does being near the rock make you feel sick in any way?

Sorry, Harlowe. My letters were terrible back in the day, so I should be a bit kinder to ya.

Sir,
At the risk of seeming rude, may I ask how old you are?

Forgive a non-expert weighing in on the matter, but- to me, 'upturned like an anthill' implies that this object somehow rose from the ground, pulling up the earth with it, no? If it fell by impact from the sky, as strange rocks have been known to, we'd have a crater.
I suppose it also could have been placed and buried with the moved earth piled around it later, but only Harlow could tell us if that appears to be the case.
Additionally, have you noticed any changes to the plant life around the site and in your fields generally?
