It has nothing to do with me feeling unpleasant. I have encountered many people who do not like the prospect of Death. However, that does not mean that they wish that death didn't happen.

I have lost loved ones to Death, both blood relatives and brothers and sisters in arms. This did not make me want Death to end, it made me want to understand more.

Your thinking is a lot like another Cult we've been dealing with called the Cult of the Unbroken Oak. These monsters ripped Death's servants from His domain and trapped them on this plane due to the idea that they think Death should not exist.

Do you believe they are right in their actions? Because they think the same thing as you do.
